Workshop Overview
The “Peace in Action: A Workshop on Climate, Conflict and Collaboration” lasted 2 hours and engaged participants in exploring the connections between climate change, conflict, and cooperation. Through interactive activities, participants examined how climate stress can lead to tension and how collaboration can emerge from crisis.
Activities included scenario games, real-world case discussions, and team-based design challenges where participants analyzed climate-related conflicts and developed creative, practical solutions for peace and resilience. Groups then presented their ideas and received peer feedback, fostering learning, reflection, and creative problem-solving.
The workshop concluded with participants reflecting on their own role and committing to concrete actions—locally, socially, or personally—to support peace and climate resilience. Led by CICD, a UK-based educational centre with extensive experience in climate resilience and community empowerment projects, the session emphasized hands-on learning, empathy, and the practical application of collaborative peace-building in response to environmental and social challenges.
