The International Arms Race and Denmark” workshop invites participants to explore the global arms trade and Denmark’s role within it. The session begins with a short introduction, followed by a screening of the film Shadow World, providing context on international arms proliferation and its consequences. Participants will gain insights into the challenges and ethical considerations of controlling and regulating arms exports.

The main activity focuses on discussion and reflection. Guided by Tom Paamand (War Resisters International) and Helge Ratzer (The Peace Center in Aarhus), participants will analyze examples from Denmark, share perspectives, and explore strategies for responsible arms management. The workshop concludes with a conversation about practical actions and advocacy, highlighting how informed citizens and policymakers can contribute to peace and global security.
