Emotional intelligence

Sara Mota Pinto de Almeida and Gelmina Laurikietytė are students at DNS-Tvind Internationl Teacher Training College.

Workshop:

What is emotional intelligence? And why should you hear about it while attending this conference?
E.Q – Emotional Quocient – is based on four pillars:

  1. Self-Awareness;
  2. Self-Management;
  3. Empathy towards others and, lastly,
  4. all the three combined.

To understand the role of E.Q in creating a peaceful environment, we fit it in a metaphoric aquatic ecosystem of whales & plankton. Both have very different sizes and shapes and activities, but one ceases to exist without the other.

This will be an interactive workshop that will introduce the theoretical background of E.Q according to American psychologist David Goleman and will challenge you to reflect and interact in a more conscious and considerate way. Because, peace starts with empathy for your family, friends, neighbours and, eventually, across borders.
