Mental Colonisation in Education
The “Mental Colonisation in Education” workshop focused on reimagining education to empower children and youth to take charge of their learning, lives, and communities. Participants explored innovative, learner-centered practices, reflecting on how these approaches can foster creativity, critical thinking, and social engagement in diverse educational contexts.
Through interactive activities, breakout discussions, and collaborative design exercises, participants experimented with practical ways to implement transformative learning methods. Led by Luz Olid and David Caballero, the session highlighted how education can become more participatory, globally connected, and impactful for creating a more equitable and sustainable world.
