The Peace Justice Conference 2025, themed “Climate Action” took place over three days, from Friday, 9 May to Sunday, 11 May 2025. It brought together activists, experts, and community leaders from across the world in one focused space. The conference offered a rich program of keynote talks, interactive workshops, artistic performances, and exhibitions designed to challenge perspectives and spark ideas. Participants explored the urgent challenges posed by climate change while sharing innovative, community-driven solutions. The conference wasn’t just talks and theory. It was a space to connect with people, to collaborate on real ideas, and to push forward meaningful action on today’s environmental and social challenges.

Keynote Speakers

The keynote speakers included Tamara Lorincz and Dominique Palmer, who shared impactful perspectives on climate justice and community-driven solutions.

Tamara Lorincz

PhD candidate in Global Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (Wilfrid Laurier University), brought insights grounded in research on peace, security, and environmental issues.

Dominique Palmer

Prominent U.K.-based climate justice activist, speaker, storyteller, and slow-fashion advocate, shared powerful perspectives on youth climate action and sustainable futures.

Workshops 

During the conference, there were around 30 workshops led by professionals from different fields. These sessions covered a wide range of topics connected to the core themes of the event: 4 workshops focused on Quality Education, 13 centered on Climate Action, and 16 dedicated to Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Each workshop was designed to give participants practical insights, real examples, and hands-on learning experiences that deepened their understanding and helped them engage meaningfully with the global challenges discussed throughout the conference.
